On behalf of the Westside Future Fund Board of Directors and its executive leadership and staff, we acknowledge with great sadness the sudden passing of Westside Future Fund board member William J. “Bill” Taggart. 

We extend our deepest condolences to his young daughter, family and friends. 

Bill grew up in English Avenue with his grandmother and cared deeply for this community.  We were all touched by Bill’s genuine commitment and caring heart.  From his role with the Atlanta Committee for Progress as the former CEO of Atlanta Life, Bill was a critical leader in the establishment of the Westside Future Fund.  He continued his legacy of leadership as the COO and then the Interim President of Morehouse College. 

His most proud and committed role was as a father for his daughter and we extend our prayers and support to her.  Bill has left an indelible mark on all of us and we will honor him by continuing his leadership of support for this community.
