Summit Spotlight: Meet Kisean Smith
Our June 16 Transform Westside Summit spotlight attendee was Kisean Smith, a 23-year-old soon-to-be resident of Ashview Heights.
Read below to find out why Kisean is eager to move into the community and his hope for the Westside.
Was this your first Transform Westside Summit? If not, how many have you attended? And what prompted your attendance?
This in fact was my first Transform Westside Summit. I was invited by the President of the Ashview Heights Community Association, Alvin Yarborough.
What is your affiliation with the community?
I’m a future resident of Ashview Heights! I am currently going through the closing process with a home in the community.
What attracted you to this community?
The AHCA has embraced me into Ashview Heights. That is why I love my decision to buy my first house there. After going to a couple of community events with current residents, my decision was solidified. I also chose this community because of its proximity to downtown Atlanta, where I work.
What was your impression of the June 16 Transform Westside Summit?
The June 16 Transform Westside Summit was a lot more engaging and informative than I thought it would be. I almost didn’t go since I currently reside in the Snellville/Gwinnett area and had to wake up before 6 a.m. to make the event, but it was tremendously beneficial. You learn exactly what’s going on in your community. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to network with people. I’ve already been in touch with two individuals I met at the Summit!
What would you tell someone who is interested in moving to the Westside? I believe anyone who wants to join a close-knit community should hurry and move to the Westside. Developments are going up every day and the cost to purchase a house on the Westside is increasing enormously fast.
What is your hope for the Westside? I hope individuals will start to see the blessing of being a resident of the Westside.
