The 100 Black Men of Atlanta honors Westside heroes at annual gala

Congratulations are in order for four of the Westside’s own who were recently honored by the 100 Black Men of Atlanta (The 100) at its annual fete and fundraiser, “100 Honors!”

The honorees:

The four Westside heroes were recognized for their demonstrated excellence, notable accomplishments and passion for making a difference in the Atlanta community.

The 100 also honored two of Westside Future Fund’s impact partners – The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and The Chick-fil-A Foundation. The Blank Foundation was awarded the Maynard H. Jackson Community Impact Award and the Chick-fil-A Foundation was awarded the Chairman’s Circle Corporate Responsibility Award.

About The 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc.: 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. provides educational support programs and services, along with individual and group instruction, tutoring, and mentoring that are beneficial to Project Success and Atlanta Public School students. About Project Success: Project Success is a post-secondary preparation and tuition assistance program that has been nationally recognized as a premier youth development initiative. Project Success started in 1987 and is dedicated to mentoring inner city youth living in at-risk environments, encouraging their academic success, and helping them develop into educated, contributing members of our community.

100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc.’s Project Success program is open to U.S. students enrolled in the 3rd grade at Atlanta Public Schools located in the metro Atlanta area. In addition to meeting all admittance criteria, students must commit to full participation in the academic, social, cultural and recreational events associated with the program. The parent or guardian must also demonstrate strong and consistent involvement in the program.
