Transform Westside Summit December 16, 2016
Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, President of Spelman College, was the featured speaker for our Dec. 16 Transform Westside Summit.
Dr. Campbell’s presentation, “Atlanta University Center: Anchor, Activist and Innovator,” took a look at the historic role the Atlanta University Center – comprised of Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Spelman College – has played in the growth and development of Atlanta’s Westside and the active role it plans to take in the shaping of its future.

Special thank you to our Summmit sponsor Chick-fil-A and to the Rev. Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr. of Friendship Baptist Church for leading our morning devotion.*
The Transform Westside Summit is held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month and is free and open to the public. Registration for future Summits is available on the main Events page of our website.
*Many in our community are driven by their spiritual faith to participate in the Westside revitalization effort. The time at the start of our meetings is an opportunity to share various inspirational reflections. While the speakers may articulate their personal faith, it is meant to be inclusive, inspiring and meaningful. All are welcome.
