Progress from the Collective Effort: Serving Westside Future Fund Multi-family Tenants during COVID-19 Crisis
On Thursday, March 26th, 125 Westside Future Fund (WFF) tenants received grocery deliveries thanks to the YMCA, Atlanta Community Food Bank, The Cute Shuttle, and WFF. These groups all came together to help ensure some of the most vulnerable Westside residents are able to stay well-fed while at home. Also this week, AT&T and Good Samaritan Health Center stepped up for Westside residents in search of telemedicine. AT&T has generously provided smartphones to Good Samaritan to allow patients to consult with medical and mental health professionals via the Giving Health telemedicine platform. Telemedicine is an important weapon in the healthcare professional’s arsenal in scenarios like the current COVID-19 crisis, when it is imperative that patients are able to receive assistance remotely.
