Progress from the Collective Effort: Westside Future Fund Delivers 1000 Grocery Packs during COVID-19 Crisis

As of April 24, Westside Future Fund (WFF) has provided over one thousand packs of free fresh groceries to WFF multi-family tenants, participants in the Anti-Displacement Tax Fund program for legacy homeowners, and to Westside residents suffering from food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, and The Cute Shuttle, Westside Volunteer Corps is continuing its food distribution initiative every Thursday to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on Atlanta’s Westside. What is a city without the people who live in it? What good are resources if they aren’t used to uplift those whom we call neighbors? What good is an institution if it overlooks those who turn to it for help in times of crisis? Thank you to @acfb, @thecuteshuttle, @carverymca, and the many community volunteers who continue to stand with us as we collectively seek to send one resounding message to the people of Atlanta’s Westside throughout the #COVID-19 pandemic: We got your back, fam. Check out these beautiful people we helped provide fresh groceries to this week! . . . #atlanta #together #stopthespread Visit our website to sign up for our biweekly newsletter covering our latest efforts to elevate the people of the Westside.
