Westside Future Fund Welcomes New Board Members
Westside Future Fund (WFF) announces the addition of two accomplished leaders to its Board of Directors: Wonya Lucas, renowned media executive and former President & CEO of Hallmark Media Networks, and Colline Hernandez-Ayala, an innovative designer and architect at Perkins & Will. Both bring a wealth of experience and passion to WFF’s mission of driving equitable community revitalization in Atlanta’s historic Westside neighborhoods.
“We are thrilled to welcome Wonya Lucas and Colline Hernandez-Ayala to our Board of Directors,” said John Ahmann, President & CEO of Westside Future Fund. “Their unique perspectives and extensive expertise will enhance our efforts to advance equity and opportunity for the legacy residents of the historic Westside.”
Wonya Lucas has a distinguished career spanning leadership roles in media, broadcasting and community organizations. She served as President & CEO of Hallmark Media Networks from 2020 to 2023, following prior leadership roles with Public Broadcasting Atlanta, TV One and Lucas Strategic Consultants. Currently, she serves on the boards of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Georgia Tech Foundation, and Comcast Corporation, among others. Her dedication to fostering community impact aligns seamlessly with WFF’s mission.
Colline Hernandez-Ayala is a visionary architect with a focus on sustainable, community-driven design. At Perkins & Will, she specializes in projects that enhance social equity through affordable housing, neighborhood-serving retail and healthcare facilities. Her passion for integrating neighborhood histories and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration is evident in her approach to creating impactful, people-centered spaces.
Westside Future Fund also extends its deepest gratitude to its long-serving directors who are transitioning off the Board this year: Helen Smith-Price, Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum and Councilmember Michael Julian Bond. Their leadership, vision and tireless dedication have left an indelible mark on WFF’s mission to create a more equitable Westside. Through their years of service, they have helped shape impactful strategies, strengthen community partnerships and empower legacy residents.
